After Strasser deliberately provokes Joe at a high-society gala, the enraged gorilla escapes into the streets of Los Angeles, causing widespread panic while ruthless investor Gareth (Peter Firth) calls for the animal’s destruction.
As Jill and Gregg race against time through the city to protect Joe from heavily armed police, they must stop Strasser before he can carry out his deadly revenge scheme, leading to a heroic climax at a burning carnival wheel.
