- Fletch (1985): Baker takes on a supporting role as Chief Jerry Karlin, the chief of the Los Angeles police department being investigated by Chevy Chase‘s titular character, Irwin “Fletch” Fletcher.
- The Living Daylights (1987): Baker appears in the James Bond film as the villainous arms dealer Brad Whitaker, adding his signature intensity to the Bond universe. Timothy Dalton starred as 007.
- Cape Fear (1991): In Martin Scorsese’s thriller, Baker plays Claude Kersek, a private detective hired by Nick Nolte’s character. Robert DeNiro, Jessica Lange and Juliette Lewis also starred in the film.
