Parker, released in theaters on Jan. 25, 2013, is a stylish and entertaining heist thriller that showcases Jason Statham’s signature blend of charisma and action. Based on the Donald E. Westlake novels, the film follows a professional thief with a strict code of ethics, who seeks revenge after being betrayed by his crew.

Statham delivers a compelling performance as the stoic and enigmatic Parker, a man of few words who relies on his skills and unwavering determination to achieve his goals.

Jennifer Lopez provides depth to her role as Leslie, a resourceful woman who becomes an unlikely ally to Parker.

Parker is asked by his mentor Harley (Nick Nolte) to help out a crew rob the Ohio State Fair. When the job results in a murder, Parker is enraged and when he says he can not work with the crew anymore, they leave him for dead on the side of the road.

Parker survives and after learning from Harley that the crew is in Palm Beach, he embarks on revenge while he masquerades as a rich Texas oil baron.

The film is adapted from Flashfire, the 19th novel in the series written by Westlake under the pen name Richard Stark.
