Judgment Night (released on October 15, 1993) hurtles forward as a gritty, pulse-pounding urban survival thriller that transforms a wrong turn on a Chicago highway into a terrifying, night-long fight for survival. Directed by Stephen Hopkins, the plot centers on suburban family man Frank Wyatt (Emilio Estevez), who sets off for a night out at a boxing match alongside his headstrong younger brother John (Stephen Dorff), their practical friend Mike (Cuba Gooding Jr.), and high-strung fast-talker Ray (Jeremy Piven).
Driving a luxurious, customized RV to bypass heavy gridlock traffic, Ray takes an unfamiliar expressway exit into a crime-ridden neighborhood.
Their detour turns catastrophic when they accidentally hit a young runaway named Teddy (Michael DeLorenzo), who falls onto their windshield bleeding and clutching stolen gang money.
Before the shocked friends can call for emergency assistance, a ruthless local crime lord named Fallon (Denis Leary) and his cold-blooded henchmen, including sadistic enforcer Sykes (Peter Greene), arrive on the scene.
Fallon cold-bloodedly executes Teddy right in front of the suburban group to recover his money.
Realizing that Frank and his companions are now witnesses to a brutal homicide, Fallon orders his men to eliminate them all.
Forced to abandon their RV, the four unarmed men flee on foot into the dark, labyrinthine industrial landscape, desperately seeking shelter and help.
As Fallon and his heavily armed gang hunt them through abandoned warehouses, storm sewers, and residential rooftops, internal tensions flare among the friends over whether to keep running or fight back.
The intense game of cat-and-mouse strips away their comfortable suburban lives, forcing Frank and his surviving companions to summon brutal instincts to survive the night.
