Vice Squad (released in theaters on January 22, 1982) explodes onto the screen as a relentless, pulse-pounding urban thriller that captures the seediest, neon-drenched underbelly of early-1980s L.A. During transport, the maniacal pimp escapes police custody, launching a bloody, nightlong rampage across the city with a single goal: hunting down Princess to exact revenge.
As Princess flees through dark alleyways, sleazy motels, and crowded nightclubs – encountering colorful street figures including Ginger (Nina Blackwood) – Walsh and his squad race against the clock through the neon shadows to intercept the psychopath before he strikes his final, fatal blow.

Vice Squad grossed $1.7 million on its opening weekend, finishing fourth at the box office. The top film of the weekend was On Golden Pond, which earned $5 million on its ninth weekend.
The film would gross $13.3 million in its theatrical run.
