Early Roles and into the 1990s

Katt began his acting journey as a child with his first role on the popular ABC series Fantasy Island in 1980, and as an adult, he often found himself cast in roles that were unsympathetic or outright villainous. One of Katt’s early memorable roles came in the cult classic Dazed and Confused (1993). Directed by Richard Linklater, the film captured the spirit of 1970s youth, and Katt’s portrayal of the aggressive Clint Bruno added a layer of intensity to the ensemble cast.
